This will save you time and money
Tucked away in a central area, this charming hotel boasts clean, stylish rooms equipped with a coffee machine. The friendly staff makes communication easy. Despite its compact size, the ambiance is surprisingly quiet. Be prepared for a bit of a trek with your luggage over cobblestones, but the location offers access to local eateries and sights!

Good standard hotel with good free Wi-Fi. Great and magnificent location, especially for me. Nice stay in central area. Functional, great-sized room with a private bathroom and a hairdryer, guest toiletries and bath sheets. Exceptionally comfortable bed, cheap breakfast. Welcoming and very welcoming staff, early check in.

Greatly enjoyed recently decorated room with the necessary comforts, wouldn't mind staying there all day. The hotel had a very central location and it was just a walking distance from Plaza de Armas.

An absolute gem in a very central area of the city.
First, the room was quite dark since the window only faced a wall, leaving me feeling a bit claustrophobic. To top it off, I encountered problems with the Wi-Fi. It constantly dropped out. I expected better for the price I paid!

At the low price you really could not expect more. It was basic, but clean (the bathroom even had a hairdryer). In the foyer there was a computer for free use by guests. Other recent reviews tell you all you need to know.
The only downside for some people maybe excessive noise - but to be fair I think other similar quality nearby hotels/hostels would have the same problem. The narrow streets, despite being relatively traffic free, do carry the noise of people and the nearby bar/restaurant, especially when busy at the weekend (there were children playing outside until 1 or 2 am). At the Zaida I could also hear even fairly quiet conversation from the central lobby area and water running in pipes etc.

I liked the building, the location in the very old town, the people, the fact that Internet was available for free.
The door and furnitures are not the top, luckily I had no to work in the room (no chair and table available for working with a laptop) and luckily the other people in the hotel were very silent.

Receptionist was extremely helpful, (a cuban gentleman). Hotel is clean. Free internet at reception.
I understand check out is at 12:00, but i took a little longer in the shower and at 12:10 Housekeeping was knocking at my door for me to leave.

missingWrote a review on 18 Julshort beds
The twin room consisted of two single beds pushed together, which proved to be a bit inconvenient. Plus, the beds were on the shorter side, which could be a pain for taller guests. There was a lack of complimentary coffee pods, as they cost €0.50 each at the reception. Lastly, the small window limited natural light, resulting in a somewhat dim environment during the day.

On my first stay, the staff helped me with a local food delivery number, which I remember. Highly recommend for comfort and service!

Great location really close to the center, very nice hotel, I did not expect so high standard in one-star hotel!! Well I heard a noise from another rooms but to be honest I have seen many not so comfortable but more-.stars hotels and from my point for view Zaida could have at least one more star. Thanks!!
